Had a wonderful weekend!

I had a wonderful weekend at Capricon writing, making new friends and meeting Sherrilyn Kenyon. It was a great honor to listen to her storytelling, to get my copy of Dark Bites autographed and to get a picture of her and standing together. My daughter and her best friend said that they had a great time as well at Capricon. We did have some issues with getting lost in downtown Chicago and ending up underground, but hey we made it out and we learned that Chicago has an underground. LMAO!! Overall I say it was a great experience.

I have set a goal of 124 books to read this year. I have read 2 so far towards that book. This week I am planning on reading Vampires of Soldier’s Cove by Jessica Macintyre, The Fine Line by Tracee Ford, Breeding Cycle by T.A. Grey, Dark Bites by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Seductively Seduced by Mimi Tulane.

As soon as I finish reading a book I review it on Amazon and Goodreads. The reviews are supposed to be posted on my blog, but I know that they are slow sometimes. I only state that because I know people who look for those posts here. I do ask some of the authors if I can post the review as well as the book cover on my blog, as well as the link to where you can buy the book, so please look for those as well. I am going to be posting them weekly on here.

I have started training again for the Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon which is May 18. That is the first of four races that I will be doing this year. I will be doing the Warrior Dash August 2 in Johnson Creek. As well as the Fox Cities Full Marathon September 21. I am still looking for one more race a 10k so that I will have ran a 5k, 10k, half and full marathon in one year. That is my goal for this year. I have also started a beginner Spartan training program to kick me in butt and get me back to where I want to be.

Update on my virtual walking – swimming – running – biking
*Please remember that my walking – swimming – running – biking is – VIRTUAL – walk – swim – run – bike. This is a visual tool to keep me motivated while working out.*
The pictures below is a screen shots of my virtual walk. One is how far I have walked so far and the other one is the overall picture. I have been keeping track for 30 weeks now. Last week I walked 51.61 miles (thanks in part to a large Convention) and I ran 12.66 miles for a total of 64.27 miles. My total walking/running for the virtual walk is 1,365.71 miles so far. That means I still have 2,469.02 miles to go until I get to Stonehenge.

This is how far I have walked so far.

Bitter cold temps and snow.

I am so sick and tired of this bitter cold and snow. I need to move someplace warm, or at least move to a home deep in the mountains with a fireplace so that I could curl up next to it and read and be warm. I know that I will not get to full-fill that dream for several years. So I guess I am stuck in this freezing cold crap we call winter in the Midwest.
