The Next Big Thing

What is a blog hop? Basically, it’s a way for readers to discover authors new to them. I hope you’ll find new-to-you authors whose works you enjoy. On this stop on the blog hop, you’ll find a bit of information on me and one of my books and links to four other authors you can explore!

My gratitude to fellow author, Lisa Cody, for inviting me to participate in this event. You can click the following link to learn more about her work. Website:

In this blog hop, I and my fellow authors, in their respective blogs, have answered ten questions about our book or work-in–progress (giving you a sneak peek). We’ve also included some behind-the-scenes information about how and why we write what we write–the characters, inspirations, plotting and other choices we make. I hope you enjoy it!

Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts and questions. Here is my Next Big Thing!

1: What is the working title of your book?
Lucian’s Angel

2: Where did the idea come from for the book?
I had just finished writing Jaded Nightmares and thought I was done writing for awhile. So while I was sitting in the car waiting for my kids to get out of school I started scrolling through all the news feed on Facebook and this picture of an angel holding a woman in his arms pops up, I grabbed my notebook sitting on the seat next to me and just let the words flow.

3. What genre does your book come under?
Paranormal/Fantasy/Urban Romance

4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Marrio Cimarro as Lucian and Holly Marie Combs  as Athena

5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
You know the old cliche Never judge a book by it’s cover; it’s true you are more then what meets the eye, you just have to believe in yourself to see it.

6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?
My first book was self-published, I would love for Lucian’s Angel to be presented by an agent.

7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
The first draft took me three weeks to write.

8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I have not read anything that compares to this.

9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?
A picture I saw on Facebook inspired me to writes this book.

10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
I think the underlying story in this book will be what grabs the readers interest. You have the woman who wants to overcome her past while she runs away from it and the man who tries to prove to her that he is not like any other man and that if you trust a person enough you can step outside your comfort zone and learn new things.
