Wow, time really does fly by!!

Short blog post.

It’s hard to believe that 1 year ago I started my virtual run, walk, swim, bike trip to Stonehenge. As of today I have gone 2, 361.78 miles so far. Only 1, 359.20 miles left to go!!

This is how far I have gone so far.

The blue star is my destination.

Only 19 more days until the Warrior Dash!! I am trying to raise $300 for St. Jude, any help would be greatly appreciated, just click on the link below and select sponsor Sarah Lazowski. Thank you all in advance!!

OK, now back to my homework…

Rambling…

I have changed the name of this blog three times now before I finally settled on Rambling…

Please help me tackle cancer. Visit my page and register or donate today! I am doing this walk for a co-worker of mine. My goal is to raise $200. http://aurora.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1093908&lis=1&kntae1093908=E7A18C783ADA45FB912F061D710F5A48&supId=406335793

There is so much that I have to get done. I feel almost rushed to get everything done, even though I have 8 days yet until I go on vacation. I decided that 2014 would be the year I; set more goals, decided it was time to go back to college, to write more, publish more, run more, and get over my fears. I booked the year with lots of events to get me off my butt and out the door. I know I am my worst enemy and I need to remember to calm and slow down so that I can enjoy what is around me.

OK, I told myself as soon as I had the blog post up, I would get back to finalizing my packing list, then I can get back to writing. Oh I almost forgot I met my goal of 40,000 words for April, my total work count was 40,999. That made me very happy. I am going to set a goal of 42,000 for the month of May. OK, now back to writing and finalizing my trip. See, I told you this was a rambling post. lol

Lucian’s Angel ~1st Angels of Purgatory book~ is no longer with and editor. I have decided to put the Angels of Purgatory series on hold for a little while.

I am excited and nervous about flying to New Orleans in less than 8 days. It just seems like there is so much to do and not enough time in the day to get everything done. Add to that the training for the Cellcom Half Marathon and I know that is why I feel like I never sleep.

Looking at all the things that are coming up, it looks like the last half of the year is going to be super busy for me. My son graduations from 8th grade in 38 days. Man I feel like time is just flying by!!!

I leave for New Orleans for RT Booklovers Convention May 13, that is only 8 days away!!!! I am so excited!!! Not only will I be in a city I have always wanted to visit, but I will be someplace warm!!

I registered for classes to get my Paralegal Associates Degree at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton on April 11!! I have my class schedule set up to be a full time student. I am so excited to start classes in only 28 days until I start my classes.

I have set a goal of 124 books to read this year. I have read 20 so far towards that book. Currently I am reading, White Lion’s Lady by Lara Adrian, Meagan’s Marine by Lori Leger and Savage Destiny by Phoebe Conn.

My 7 races for the year.

1st race: Shamrock 5k shuffle results for March 15. It was a good walking race. I took 1336 place for my age division, 1354 place overall. I averaged 18:09 minute mile walking and talking with the boss. My time for the whole 3.1 mile race was 56:21.68 minutes.

2nd Race: Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon on May 18. Only 13 days away!!!!!!

3rd Race: Lombardi Cancer Walk on June 7. Only 33 days away!!!!!

4th Race: Bellin 10k Green Bay on June 14. Only 40 days away!!!!

5th Race: Warrior Dash on August 2. Only 89 days away!!!

6th Race: Fox Cities Full Marathon on September 21. Only 139 days away!!

7th Race: Miller Park Spartan Sprint on November 1. Only 180 days away!

Well those will keep me from sitting too long on my butt and will hopefully keep me in better health.

The muse is screaming in my ear again, it is so awesome when she does that, but it also means I am jumping from story to story. I have come up with a schedule to write on each story a different day of the week so as long as the… oh so pretty sun does not distract me too much, I should hopefully be getting one of these books to an editor soon. I want to publish at least one book a year.

List of books I am currently working on.

Lucian’s Angel ~ first in the Angels of Purgatory Series ~ *currently on hold*

Freedom Weekend — (this might turn into a collection of short erotic stories)

Leviathan’s Angel ~ second in the Angels of Purgatory Series ~ *currently on hold*

Isis & Cathal ~ first in the Gods and Goddess Reborn Series ~

The Sleeping Huntress

Crazy Dreams ~ Short stories of visions, dreams and nightmares ~ (this book starts up where Jaded Nightmares left off)

Untitled WIP that has over 3,500 words hand written so far.

Yes, I know this is a lot on my plate, as well as being a mother of 2 very active teenagers. I like to keep moving, in a weird way it keeps me focused. I never said I was sane. LOL

Update on my virtual walking – swimming – running – biking

*Please remember that my walking – swimming – running – biking is – VIRTUAL – walk – swim – run – bike. This is a visual tool to keep me motivated while working out.*

The pictures below is a screen shots of my virtual walk. One is how far I have walked so far and the other one is the overall picture. I have been keeping track for 40 weeks now. Wow!! I can’t believe I have been doing this virtual walk, swim, run, bike for 42 weeks already. The time seems to be flying by. Last week I walked 32.27 miles and I ran 14.91 miles for a total of 47.18 miles. My total walking/running for the virtual walk is 1,865.65 miles so far. That means I still have 1,886.10 miles to go until I get to my virtual Stonehenge.

My crazy life…

So my crazy “sudden onset adult allergies” so not only am I allergic to strawberries and raspberries, last night I had an allergic reaction to blueberries. Now I am waiting to hear back from the doctor if that means I have to avoid all berries.
*looks at part of a post from last week’s blog* I am posting part of it again, because I am still in shock that I signed up to do it.
Why am I officially crazy??? Well I signed up for another race. A Spartan Sprint race to be more specific.
What is a Spartan Sprint you ask?
Well it is 3+ MILES / 15+ OBSTACLES.
What kind of obstacles are at a Spartan Race?
There are some staples in our repertoire. There are also some venue specific and terrain inspired obstacles.
We will not, however, spell it out for you. As well, you will get no course map to inspect.
There is fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and occasionally Hell on Earth.
There WILL be obstacles to catch you off guard. Curve balls, so to speak.
Get over it.
We’re here to rip you from your comfort zone. If you need a road map for each step of the way, then maybe this race isn’t for you.
*points down* This made me laugh a little.
What should I wear?
Shorty shorts, monkey suit, or Lycra.
Bikinis, compressions shorts and socks, or tiara.
Marathon gear, triathlon gear, or spelunking gear.
You’re choice really. Depends on how fast you want to go?
Will suggest trail running shoes or sneakers, however.
So this means I am going to have to up my workout routine to make sure that I am in great shape to be able to complete my first ever Spartan Race. It will also be a great way to kick off the holiday season in a great way!

Ok, so now that I have relived that craziness. It is time to get back to the news part of the blog. *chuckles*
Lucian’s Angel ~1st Angels of Purgatory book~ is still with the editor, I am happy it is still there, my muse is screaming in my ear and having me work on several other WIP while I wait for the edits to come back. There is a list of all of my WIP farther down the blog.

My 6 races for the year.

5th Race: Fox Cities Full Marathon on September 21. Only 153 days away!!
6th Race: Miller Park Spartan Sprint on November 1. Only 194 days away!
Well those will keep me from sitting too long on my butt and will hopefully keep me in better health. The beginner Spartan training program is still kicking me in the butt, but I am ok with that, because if you don’t push yourself then you don’t know just how far you can go.

Mother Nature throws us for a loop and it’s official I’m crazy!!

After temps in the 50’s and 60’s for about 10 days a storm came through Saturday and with that came almost 4″ of rain until 4 am this morning when it switched over to snow and we then received 4″ of snow. Now it is supposed to be chilly with more rain and snow the rest of this week. Yep, Mother Nature is having hormone issues again or she is playing a month long April Fools Joke on us all.

Just another crazy Monday…

Another crazy Monday morning of running around like my head is chopped off. Thankfully, I write down what needs to be done otherwise I am sure I would leave my brain at home. The beautiful sun was out this weekend so I was very excited to get out and run in it. I even convinced my 16 year old daughter to run with me. She is a huge Walking Dead fan and she thought my Zombies, Run app was AWESOME!!

I was very happy to see that I wrote a total of 34,721 words for the month of March. My goal is write 36,000 this month.

Mind of matter…

I was having a hard time this past week with trying to convince myself to run. My mind kept telling me that it has not been a year since I had surgery on my left knee. April 5, it will be one year since my knee was fixed. I was able to push the negative thoughts aside on Friday and run my first 11 minute mile in over 18 months. I pushed those same demons aside and finished 3.79 miles in 49 minutes yesterday. My goal yesterday was to run a 5k (3.1 miles) in 56 minutes or less. I did that and more, it felt great to tell my inner demons to suck it and shut up!!

Lucian’s Angel ~1st Angels of Purgatory book~ is now with the editor. Now to let her do her thing while I work on The Sleeping Huntress.

I have been keeping track for 37 weeks now. Last week I walked 34.77 miles and I ran 6.99 miles for a total of 41.76 miles. My total walking/running for the virtual walk is 1,641.71 miles so far. That means I still have 2,112.17 miles to go until I get to my virtual Stonehenge.

This is the overall progress.

Increased medication, Lucian’s Angel update and did the weatherman REALLY say 50 degrees…

UPDATE to Lucian’s Angel!! I am 90% certain I have a new editor and she will be starting the editing soon. I am so excited to be working on this again so that it can finally be published. I hope I am not jinxing anything by saying that.

My doctor agreed it was time to up my ADHD medication. The only downside to that is that it can take up to a week for me to get used to the new dose. What does that mean for the people around me…It means that I will literally bounce around non-stop until the medication wears off. I also can’t sit very still in my chair and have been known to either tap my feet, yes feet as in both of them non-stop to a beat only I can hear, twist around in the chair, bounce from side to side in the chair or *chuckles* all of the above.

Oh!! I was introduced to an app that I am in love with…Zombies, Run!!!!

I leave for New Orleans for RT Booklovers Convention in 1 month, 2 weeks, 6 days and 3 hours!!!! I am so excited!!! Oh and yes, I will be flying this time instead of driving.

I almost forgot!!! I register for classes to get my Paralegal Associates Degree at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton on April 11, only 2 weeks, 4 days, 21 hours.

*points down to the picture* Look the weatherman says 50 degrees!!!!

I have set a goal of 124 books to read this year. I have read 12 so far towards that book. I am reading The Fine Line by Tracee Ford. *sighs* I am so upset with myself for not reading a single book the past 10 days.

As soon as I finish reading a book I review it on Amazon and Goodreads. The reviews are now posted on my blog over on the right hand side of the page under Goodreads. I only state that because I know people who look for those posts here.
I do ask some of the authors if I can post the review as well as the book cover on my blog, as well as the link to where you can buy the book, so please look for those as well.
I will be getting back to posting them weekly on here.

Wait did I really sign up for 5 races with year? Let me look again…
Only 1 month, 3 weeks, 3 days and 21 hours away.
3rd Race: Bellin 10k Green Bay on June 14. Only 2 months, 3 weeks, and 21 hours away.
4th Race: Warrior Dash on August 2. Only 4 months, 1 week, 1 day and 21 hours away.
5th Race: Fox Cities Full Marathon on September 21. Only 5 months, 4 weeks and 21 hours away.
WOW!! I really did sign up to do 5 races this year. Well that will keep me from sitting too long on my butt and will hopefully keep me in better health. The beginner Spartan training program is still kicking me in the butt, but I am ok with that, because if you don’t push yourself then you don’t know just how far you can go.
